They are all doctors with different specialties ranging from a neurosurgeon, an obstetrician, a plastic surgeon, a family physician, and a community health physician.

The five girls are identified as Dr Salamat Aliu, Dr Halima Aliu, Dr Raliat Aliu, Dr Khadijah Aliu, and Dr Medinah Aliu.

The Nigerian family consists of Salamat Aliu, the first female neurosurgeon in West Africa, Halima Aliu, a plastic surgeon, Khadijah Aliu, a family medicine physician, Raliat Aliu, an obstetrician, and Medinah Aliu, a community health physician.

The case of this 5 girls is to show that women empowerment is necessary for African Development.
