Program Description

For more than 40 years, the Mercatus Center at George Mason University (formerly the Center for the Study of Market Processes) has recruited graduates, trained, and supported graduate students who have progressed to pursue careers in the academia area, government, and in public policy including supporting scholars who are pursuing research on the cutting-edge of academia. The Mercatus Center’s Academic and Student Programs offers support for the students who are pursuing research in the Austrian, Virginia, & Bloomington school(s) of political economy and offers assistance to students.

The James Buchanan Fellows will also be lectured on the contemporary applications of the different life ideas to questions in social sciences which are dealing with the dynamics and institutional-underpinnings concerning economic, political, and social coordination. James Buchanan Fellows will spend two(2) weekends in the residency sited at George Mason University (Fairfax, VA) and up to three (3) virtual colloquia during the calendar-year taking part in discussions on mainline political economy.
