Babcock University Notice To Students, Staff And Parents

Following our correspondence to you on October 20, 2020 postponing the departure of Batch A students from campus and resumption of Batch B students for on-site learning due to the #ENDSARS protest and the subsequent imposition of curfew in some parts of the country, we wish to state as follows:

. As a result of the gradual return of economic and social activities of our dear nation to normalcy nationwide. Batch A students, having completed their on-site learning (In-Person) as scheduled, are now directed to proceed home with effect from Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

2m Batch A students are however advised, before leaving the campus, to complete their registration in order to guarantee the capturing of their names and other academic information on their UMIS window for grading of results.

3  While at home  Batch A students will continue their lectures on-line.

4. In the same vein, consequent upon the above information, the resumption for Batch B students for on-site learning (In-Person) will commence on Sunday. November 1, 2020.

5. Please note that, to ensure safety on campus, all returning students are expected to resume with a pack of COVID-19 safety kits (at least I pack of disposable face mask, or 3 re-usable face masks).

6. To minimize avoidable risks, visitation will not be allowed during the 6 weeks’ period that students will be on campus.

7. Once on campus, students will not be allowed to leave until after the period of 6 weeks to be spent on campus

8. No student will be allowed on campus without proof of payment of school fees or sufficient balance in his/her account.

9. Students are advised to reduce the quantity of their luggage considering the shortness of the period they will stay on campus.

10. Just as was case with Batch A students, all Batch B Students are expected to undergo screening for COVID. 19 at the Amphitheatre of the University for twenty-five thousand Naira (NZ5, 00.00) to be borme by cach student.

11. Due to the prevailing circumstances, social distancing in every aspect of the University life will be strictly observed. In this regard, the student population of all rooms, classrooms, and other places of public gathering has been reduced in compliance with the directives of the Nigeria Centre for Discases Control (NCDC)

12. All students are advised to follow the schedule of arrival strictly. Those who come before their secheduled time will wait for their turn.

13. Parents will drop their children at the Amphitheatre and leave. Buses will take the screencd students to their hostels.

14. Lawstudents will be sereened at the Main Campus and taken by bus to Iperu Campus.

GROUP B CONSIST OF

  • All 300 Level students without the 300 level MBBS students
  • All 200 Level students

 

SUNDAY 1st NOVEMBER-SCHEDULE OF ARRIVAL AND SCREENING:

8:00-10:00am:

a. All 200 level students Benjamin Carson College of Medicine

b. All 300 Levels students without the 300 level MBBS students

10:00-12:00

a. All 200 and 300 levels School of Education and Humanities

12:003:00pm

b. All 200 and 300 levels school of Computing and Engincering Sciences

 

TUESDAY 3RD NOVEMBER-SCHEDULE OF ARRIVAL AND SCREENING:

8:00-11:00am: All 200 and 500 levels school of Management Sciences

11:00am-1:00pm: All 200 and 300 levels School of Nursing Sciences

THURSDAY5TH NOVEMBER-SCHEDULE OF ARRIVAL AND SCREENING

8:00am-11:00am: All 200 and 300 levels Veronica Adeleke School of Social Sciences

11:am-1:00pm: All 200 and 300 levels School of Law and Security Studies

1:00pm-3:00pm: All 200 and 300 levels School of Science and Technology

 

All students are advised to follow the schedule of arrival strictly. Those who come in earlier will stay in their cars till it is thei turn.

The parents will drop their children at the Amphitheatre and leave. Buses will take the screened students to their hostels.

Law students will be screened at the Main Campus and taken by bus to Iperu Campus.

Be informed however, that the disruptions that the unexpected events in the country caused has necessitated a minor adjustment in the University’s examination calendar. In this regard, the First Semester Examinations is now shifted forward by one week.
