Canada CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar Program is the nation’s premier scholarship program for talented undergraduate students in Canada who wish to pursue higher education abroad. With over $70 Million in scholarships per annum, it is one of North America’s most generous undergraduate international scholarship programs. The program is administered by CIFAR in collaboration with the Government of Canada.

The Scholars Program provides grants for three years of undergraduate study at one of over 20 universities in Canada, Israel, and the US. CIFAR awards are among the very best scholarships available to Canadian undergraduate students. In addition to a full scholarship valued at $50,000 per year, Scholars also receive a personal grant from CIFAR of $20,000 over three years. Additional bursaries and prizes may also be awarded by various partners such as Tel Aviv University (TAU) and York University (York). This includes the Governor General’s International Award, a $25,000 grant, and the Hubert L. Lamontagne Award which is valued at $10,000.

Scholarship Description

The scholarship covers tuition and living expenses at the Azrieli Graduate School.

Specifically, the scholarship covers:

  • Tuition fees,
  • Accommodation for students placed in a dormitory,
  • Three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and
  • Access to an onsite cafeteria. Students must be enrolled full-time (12 months).

The Azrieli Graduate School is accredited through The National Board of Accreditation. Students can also apply for an Azrieli Global Scholars Program TA (2 years) and/or a CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Program TA (1 year). Students should ask the program director which TA they are eligible to apply for.
