Eligibility Criteria For This Fellowship in The UK

  • The candidate is expected to be a citizen of a Commonwealth country fit for this program or have been given a refugee status by such a country, or must be protected by the British government;
  • The candidate is expected to possess permanent residency in any of the Commonwealth countries.
  • The candidate is expected to possess a minimum of 5 years of full-time or equivalent part-time work experience which should be related or linked to the program by the slated start date of the fellowship. Bear in mind that Voluntary work experience will not be a count in this requirement.
  • The candidate applying is expected to be employed at the
    time of application in any establishment to which they will be returning upon rounding up the Fellowship;
  • Applicants going for the Professional Fellowships will be expected to submit a minimum of two references. The CSC will be contacting every prospective Fellows directly if their references are required. A host organization may then contact Fellows to ask for a reference when considering and screening their application;
  • The candidate is expected not to have previously undertaken any Commonwealth Professional Fellowship within the space of the past five years.
  • The candidates are to be available for the beginning and concluding periods of the fellowship in accordance with the slated timeline.
