Undergraduate Scholarships

  • Deakin STEM Scholarship

The scholarships in the Deakin STEM Scholarships Scheme are designed to provide financial support for university study or participation in industry-related internships. The scholarships are awarded to students making an application through UCAS, either as part of a UCAS application for undergraduate study in full-time studying programs leading to a Bachelor’s degree or through UCAS’s academic exchange schemes.

  • Accommodation includes 4 weekly accommodation days per semester, a 10% discount on residential accommodation in shared rooms (approximately $1,500), and weekends free unless otherwise specified.
  • Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship

The scholarship is open to all undergraduate students who have had their offer for a place in a future undergraduate program at Deakin University confirmed and who meet the eligibility criteria set by Deakin University.

It covers the fees for a full-fee Commonwealth Supported place, provided by the Government of Australia, at Deakin University for the first year of their undergraduate degree.

Eligibility criteria:

  • The student’s program must be selected in the year preceding the anticipated year of study.
  • The scholarship commences with the first semester at Deakin University, not in January before commencement as it is considered a conditional offer scholarship.

The scholarship of $11,000 is open to Deakin graduates who are 18 or over by July 2021 and enrolled in an undergraduate program of study at any university outside of Australia.

The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit and financial need. Applicants will complete a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, an essay question as well as information about their family background and parental education levels.

  • Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship

The graduate scholarship is open to all qualified international students who have graduated from an Australian university in the previous 6 months. Selected applicants will receive a full tuition fee scholarship for their first year of study and the opportunity to access our global student exchange program which provides opportunities for study at Deakin in regional Victoria and throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, and North America.

The scholarship is open internationally to qualify graduates from any university, who have been studying at an Australian institution for less than six months when scholarships commence.

Facilities at Deakin University

The University offers students over 31 colleges and seven campuses dating from the early 1960s and several buildings that are of historical importance.
