All you have to do is apply and show that you didn’t take either the SAT or ACT exams in their entirety. If selected as a recipient, your tuition fees will be paid by Dongseo University to study there (an area in eastern South Korea).

1. Transcripts (including academic records and a copy of high school diploma)
To apply for Financial Aid, the University requires the transcript(s) of all formal education completed. In the United States, this means transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, including those attended in foreign countries and those from junior colleges or technical schools.
The University also requires a copy of your high school diploma or GED certificate. This document is necessary for two reasons: 1) it verifies that you have completed secondary education and 2) it helps determine your entrance status. If you do not have this document, it is recommended that you contact your high school to obtain a verification letter with your date of graduation.
The University also requires a transcript for the most recent year of high school to be sent to Residency. This will determine how your tuition is calculated.

The student must complete a Student Recommendation Form, which is to be mailed directly from the recommender (teacher, guidance counselor, etc.) to the Admission Office. This form is available on our website for download. The student should submit two recommendation forms with their application for admission. One of these forms should come directly from a teacher and one should come directly from another person who has known the applicant well since high school.
3. Student’s Academic and Career Goal Essay
This essay must be typed or printed legibly using black ink on 8 ½” x 11″ white paper or sent as an attachment in .pdf or .doc format and can be no longer than 2 pages in length. You can find this essay at the bottom of your form or on the Student’s Academic and Career Goal Essay link below. It should be about 30-40 words in length.
The purpose of writing this essay is to show the University your career goals, which will help us to assess whether you have an appropriate academic background, and to connect with you in a way that will help you achieve your goals.
4. Parent’s Consent Form
The parent(s) must sign this form before the student can submit his/her application for admission. This form will be mailed directly from the Admission Office to his/her parent(s). If the student is under the age of 18, one or both parents must sign this form. If the student is an emancipated minor or over the age of 18, he or she must sign it themselves.
5. Verification of Lawful Presence in the US
The University requires all international applicants (non-U.S. citizens and non-Lawful Permanent Residents) to submit proof they are lawfully present in the U.S. at the time they file their application for admission and throughout their course of study at Western Connecticut State University if admitted. Lawful presence is any documentation that establishes that you can legally be in the U.S., such as a valid visa; or an I-94 issued by U.
