Scholarships at the Emory University

The scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students who are selected from among 45,000 applicants, according to the Emory University website. Scholarships will be given in amounts ranging from $2,000-$10,000. The deadline for the scholarships is in October 2022

 These are awards that are given to eligible undergraduate students desiring higher education at Emory University who may have not been able to afford tuition without help. Students applying must be U.S citizens or permanent residents of the U.S on a full-time basis and must have demonstrated financial need as determined by their institutional financial aid office or as documented on their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students must have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and rank in the top 20 percent of their class.

Emory University offers full-tuition scholarships through the Emory Scholars program and other merit-based scholarships are available for study at the university’s campus to students meeting established especially in the Emory University Scholarships For International Students meeting all criteria.

To qualify for a scholarship program at Emory University here is some information for you:

1) This program is for individuals who have been academically dismissed or suspended from their current program of study at Emory University or another institution to pursue coursework that will allow them to return.

2) The applicant should be motivated to return and is open to the possibility of working with a mentor. 3) Applicants must write an exploratory letter that explains why they are interested in this program and how they would benefit from it.

4) The applicant must submit an application letter; a resume; one written work (e.g. a poem, drama piece, etc.); and one personal statement addressing the following questions:

a) Describe the reasons that made you choose to embark on this particular academic endeavor.

b) How has Emory impacted you?

c) How have other studies affected you?

d) Who has helped you in your academic endeavors at Emory?

 5) Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and must provide official transcripts from previous institutions.

6) The mentor selected will not be an administrator in the current program but rather a professor with whom the recipient has had prior contact either as a student or friend.

7) The selection of mentors includes consideration of faith, ethnicity, and socioeconomic diversity of the community on campus.

  • 10th-grade transcript
  • Personal essay
  • Letter of recommendation
  • ACT or SAT score if you want to waive the test requirement
  • Application fee ($65)
  • 2 letters of recommendation (submit one letter in the online application and send the other by mail)
  • Resume or CV if you want to waive the resume requirement. Your resume should be no more than two pages in length.

International students are invited to live with a full-time international student who is enrolled in Emory for one academic year. Students will experience an intensive introduction to the dynamic social, cultural, and educational life at Emory University.
