Father’s Dream Comes True As His Son Is Set To Start MSc Studies in Energy Systems At Oxford University, UK

There this optimistic Blackman and father , who always say that his son will study at Oxford University even when knows too well that he doesn’t have the financial capacity to make the dream come true.

The blackman keep saying this positive word into the life of his son, unknown to him that God will make his dream to become a reality.

Fast forward to this year, the man son identified as Emmanuel Uzim through his LinkedIn profile shared this inspiring story as he is set to MSc in Energy Systems at University of Oxford on a fully funded scholarship.

Indeed the brilliant young man has made his father a fulfilled man.

In his words, Mr. Emmanuel wrote;

“I am thrilled to announce that I have started an MSc in Energy Systems at the foremost University of Oxford on a fully funded scholarship. It is such an honour to be among one of the three students to be nominated by the Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) for the highly competitive Standard Bank Africa Chairman’s Scholarship at the University of Oxford.

It is a dream come true to study at the No. 1 university in the world while focusing intently on understanding the global energy markets and sustainable innovations feasibly for energy transitioning.

Oxford’s Energy Systems program at the University of Oxford, Department of Engineering Science is well-known for its outstanding academics, who have championed leading research in global energy supply and demand around the world.

The energy space has always been my passionate forte and I am excited that this course will build on my immense interest in leveraging multi-perspective knowledge of global energy transitions and applying it to provide energy access to unserved communities in developing economies.

Connecting the dots now, it has been a beautiful journey filled with mixed emotions.

My earliest memory of Oxford was when my father, who happened to be a Mathematics teacher, would occasionally mention that his “son would someday attend Oxford”.

In those instances, I did bluff and never took him seriously because I obviously could recognize how challenging it was to afford such an elite education.

However, the importance of early discovery and the grit to pursue my passion while enjoying the most out of the learning experience gracefully placed me on the right growth pedestal.

Two months ago, I decided to call my father as we often do but with one question at heart – “What was the university you had always prayed for me to attend?” – That defining moment of overwhelming joy always reminds me that God always listens.

More than anything, I am grateful for the hurdles I had to overcome; they drilled out the best in me. To my caring family, awesome friends, and the Bisedge family who have been a huge backbone, I am humbled by your unwavering love to see me be the best of myself.”

Wow!!! This is motivational and inspiring. CONGRATULATIONS TO HIM.
