Tuition Fee for International Students at George Washington University

The tuition fee for international students at George Washington University is $10,344 for both in-state and out-of-state students. This fee covers the tuition and fees charged by the University as well as a $2,000 scholarship. For international students with one or fewer years of U.S. study experience, international health insurance is required to cover medical expenses for themselves and any dependents during their stay in the United States.

  • Presidential International Scholarship

Student education is a worldwide concern, but within the United States, numerous challenges confront students and their families. One of those challenges is the cost to attend college. Understanding the limitations of federal and state financial aid packages for out-of-pocket costs can make it harder for families to decide when to start saving for college.

The 2022 Presidential International Scholarship at George University provides an alternate solution to this problem by providing a full tuition scholarship covering all costs during your entire undergraduate study period. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, books, and other educational expenses for eligible students.

Scholarship Coverage

Qualifying students are offered full tuition scholarships worth 50% of the annual costs. The scholarship also covers housing and meal costs. Further, a $4,000 spending allowance is offered for travel, entertainment, and miscellaneous expenses.

The scholarship program is available to U.S citizens who have a minimum 2.75 GPA at their high school or home institution and rank in the top 15% of their graduating class OR ranked in the top half academically among their incoming class at an accredited college or university within the United States or abroad (as determined by George University). Students are required to maintain this standing while completing their undergraduate degree program at George University.

To qualify, you must have lived in any area or country outside of Europe, Africa, Asia, Central America, or South America, show evidence of financial need by completing an application; be either U.S.

  • You Are Welcome Here Scholarship at George university

This scholarship is open to students at any level who are enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Nursing, or the School of Business.

The scholarship is for $1000, renewable for up to 4 years.

We also have a need-based financial aid program. Once you submit your application and FAFSA information, we will give you an estimate of how much we might be able to help you with your cost of attendance based on your needs and our available scholarships.

  • Loughran Graduate Fellowship

The George University Loughran Fellowship is primarily awarded to graduate students who are entering their third year of study in the department of geology or earth and space sciences. Although international applicants are not eligible, this fellowship may be renewable for up to three years.

Application deadlines: All applicants must be within 12 months of graduation with a bachelor’s degree in geology or earth and space sciences with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The application for the Loughran Fellowship must be submitted by October 2022.

The fellowship is worth up to $20,000 per academic year (tuition and fees only) based on satisfactory progress through the graduate program at George University as shown in grades received during prior semesters.

  • Davis Fellows for Peace

The George University Davis Fellows for Peace is a fellowship program that allows peace-oriented students to pursue innovative, practical, and measurable solutions to some of today’s most pressing international challenges. The Davis Fellowship supports undergraduate students at George who has the drive and vision to provide practical solutions for achieving peace and reducing violence around the world.

The scholarship covers full tuition and fees for one year of study at the University of California, Davis. Davis Fellows help to maintain sustainable peace by focusing on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education for under-resourced youth in conflict zones around the world.

The Fellowship provides opportunities that otherwise would not be available to these students to share their ideas with those who can make a difference in how we address violent conflicts.
