The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a compulsory program organized by the Nigerian government for those fresh from college and under 30 to serve their motherland as a show of solidarity and unity.

This paid program lasts for one year after which participants can go fully into the job market. This program is open to all Nigerian graduates at home and abroad. Participants of the program are awarded a certificate at the end of the one-year program, which can be presented to potential employers upon request.
To be fully qualified for this program, candidates must graduate from NYSC accredited universities. Unfortunately, not all universities in Nigeria are qualified for the National Youth Service Corps.
