1.The University Of Abuja.

The University of Abuja is a public institution funded by the government located in the Nigerian capital, Abuja.

It was established in January 1988 as a dual-mode university with the mandate to run conventional and distance learning programmes though academic work in the University began in 1990 with the matriculation of its pioneer students.

It is the only Federal University in the heart (FCT) of Nigeria, tagged the University for National Unity!

The University started with three colleges namely: College of Arts and Education; College of Law, Management and Social Sciences; and College of Science and Agriculture.

The institution started with a total population of  less than five hundred students which today has twelve faculties and about to start three new ones with more than forty thousand students.

At the University of Abuja, student can study for master’s or doctoral degrees at the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, and specialized degrees at our 12 professional schools in addition to various undergraduate courses offered.

 Many non-degree programs that allow individuals to study or pursue research without manipulating are also available.

Following the general admission requirements of  credit passes in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics which must be obtained by a candidate at no more than two (2) sittings for 100 level entrants, three (3) of these credit passes must be in the relevant subjects for the degree course applied for in addition to an acceptable score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Direct Entry(DE) admission seekers must satisfy the A’ level requirements with at least two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or equivalent in addition to five (5) credit passes in other subjects including English Language and Mathematics at the ordinary level of either of the following bodies: WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and Grade II.

5. Bingham University

Located in Karu, specifically at Abuja-Keffi Road, 961105, New Karu, 25 kilometers from the Federal Capital city of Nigeria Abuja, the school was established in 2005 by the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) as a Conventional University.

This university happens to be one of the six private universities in the northern part of the country and also  the only one established by a Christian organization.

 Veritas University is a private university, located in Abuja. It was founded in March 2002 by the Catholic Church in Nigeria.
