Meet The 18 Year Old Boy Who Gained Admission To 27 US Universities, Wins $4m Scholarship, Set To Become An Engineer

Jonathan Walker, an 18 year old boy from Panama City, Florida in the United States has gained admission sion into 27 different universities in the US after graduating from high school with a 4.85 GPA.

In his word, journey said;

“It’s so crazy to think about that I applied to all these colleges and I got in. That’s such a rare thing to occur, but the fact that it did happen, I’m so excited about it,”

“So, I’ve just really been trying to let it soak in just how much of a blessing it is that I got into all of these colleges. So just like sitting back smelling the roses,”

However, the brilliant young man didn’t only achieved that, But, he also won an accumulated scholarship award of $4 million dollars in universities including MIT, Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and Johns Hopkins.

Johnathans’ hopes to inspire other Black teens to follow their dreams of becoming inventors too as he is set to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

The young man is on a contemplating mood of considering which the university he should get enrolled in out of the 27 Universities that he has been offered admission. Nonetheless, Walker is left with decision of choosing either Yale, Stanford, or the University of Pennsylvania, among other Ivy Leagues, which at the moment is quite difficult for him to decide.

According to his words while speaking with GMA, Johnathan revealed that his passion and curiosity for science starts the when his parent bought him chemistry textbook.

In his word, he added;

“I found a way to channel that curiosity into Science and that soon blossomed into Engineering,”

His major interest is in Electrical Engineering and probably Biomedical Engineering, according to his words, he said;

“I’m looking at majoring in electrical engineering and possibly biomedical engineering to hopefully develop medical technology in order to help disadvantaged communities that have health problems,” he stated.
