In ancient times before writing was invented, there were a series of ways people put down information, which was meant to be passed on from generation to generation.

There were written on stones, bones, metals and more, these were information that was not retrievable.

As things advanced, new forms of recording information, these were when writing was invented, then we see things like Scrolls, Codex and more. Ancient Egyptians wrote down records in scrolls made out of Papyrus, a thick paper-like material. It was made out of a plant called Papyrus.

This was the very type of paperwork recorded, as they were introduced to other parts of the world. The Chinese people introduced a more suitable form of storing information, the Codex was more like a modern-day book. It was made out of wood but made into sections for easy reading.

In the medieval era, books were difficult to get as they were very difficult to make, the Egyptians who made Papyrus available were scarce and other forms were used as in animal skins. However, plant leaves were the best paper materials.

In the year 1045, the first movable book print was introduced, however, in the year 1450, A German called Johannes Gutenberg introduced the first set of print, which he introduced the Bible in print. This made books making less expensive.

Later on, prints were now popular around 1501, and a single sheet with an image was made called “incunables” this led to a series of books being made. In the early 19s, a steam-powered machine was introduced which produced a large number of prints.

This was a great achievement in the world of print, today we now have loads of books made books are now on the edge of losing their value as the digital world has taken over, where works have been made into a soft form, audiobook, digital books and more. We can now access them on our gadgets and more.

There are several books out there to read, however, as a college student, there are some books you just have to know and read.

This book is written by George S. Clarkson. It is written in 1926, it was written to advise individuals on managing their finances. It is a book written in parables.

It is a great book for college students to understand the concept of managing their finances.

The Bible

The bible is a religious book with a compilation of different books. It remains one of the oldest and most widely sold books. As a Christian student, you would probably need it to assist yourself spiritually also others can read for more knowledge that can be derived.

The Quran 

The Quran is another religious book that is dated back to 610 – 632 CE. It is used by the Muslims in their teachings.

As a Muslim student, it is a must to have to guide you spiritually, however, as a non-Muslim, you can desire to read to understand more of the religion and its teachings.

For people who are not very good at socializing, this can be very beneficial for them, it is a book that can also be used in the office space. Dale Carnegie did a great job explaining strategies.
