Nasarawa State Government Commences Fumigation Of Schools In The State
Ahead of school reopening, the Nasarawa State Government has begun the fumigation of 179 secondary schools and 1,408 primary schools across the state.
General Manager of Nasarawa State Environmental Protection Agency (NASEPA), Mr. Iliyasu Yusuf Adeka explained that the move was part of the precautionary measures put in place by the state government to fight the outbreak of reptiles and termites before the resumption of academic activities after months of coronavirus outbreak.
Nasarawa commences fumigation of schools in the state
While guaranteeing the safety of pupils and students in the schools, Mr Adeka said that the chemicals being applied are not harmful to humans and was environmentally friendly.
He advised principals and headmasters of the schools to provide the necessary support to secure a hitch-free fumigation exercise.
