POST COVID-19: Enugu State University (ESUT) Orders Staff To Resume Work For A Possible Resumption Of Full Academic Activities
The Enugu State University (ESUT) has ordered its staff and working community to resume full activities for a possible resumption of academic activities in the face of the Covid19 pandemic. This was made known via a circular issued by the school management which directed the workers to resume duties for a possible resumption of academic activities in the school.
The statement reads in part;
”FULL RESUMPTION OF OFFICIAL DUTIES IN THE UNIVERSITY.
Management Committee at its 76th meeting held on Wednesday the 19th day of August, 2020 resolved that in line with the State Government recent directive that Civil Servants in the State should resume their duties with effect from the 3rd day of August, 2020, ALL staff of the University are hereby directed to fully resume their
official duties with effect from Monday the 24th day of August, 2020.
2. It is important to emphasize here that ALL staff of the University are expected to strictly comply with this directive.
3. Further more and in line with the development aforesaid, ANY staff that fails to comply with this directive will be sanctioned in line with our extant rules and regulations.
4. By a copy of this communication thereof. all relevant Organs of the University, including but not limited to Works and Ethics Committee of the University, are expected to give full effect of this directive.
5. Finally, staff are implored to Strictly observe all the protective rules by the NCDC vis-a-vis the present COVID-19 Pandemic worldwide.
