Lets start by highlighting the general admission requirements for any UTME candidate who wants to study any of these medical courses in Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE): You must have made at least five (5) credit passes in any of these results; WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB .
Talking about minimum sitting, it should not be more than two (2) sittings. Bear in mind that English Language and Mathematics are core when it comes to admission requirements. Candidates are also required to have five(5) Credit passes at one or two sittings in WAEC and NECO, or any Senior School Certificate and their equivalent in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
Medical Laboratory Requirements:
All UTME Candidates should note that Medical Laboratory Science in FUOYE is a 5years BMLS programme. The UTME Subjects are; English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates must also have atleast a Credit (C) in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry at one or two sittings in WAEC or NECO as any sitting more than 2 disqualifies such candidate.
Nursing Requirements:
FUOYE UTME Candidate for nursing should know that it is a 5year BNSc programme. It is required that you have at least a Credit(C) in English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry at one or two sittings in WAEC, NECO (Note: you can’t combine both WAEC and NECO).
For D.E Candidates, Nursing in FUOYE is a 4 year BNSc programme. DE candidates aspiring to study nursing in FUOYE must have credits in English, Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. As for Candidate with minimum of 12 points in these A level courses; Advanced Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Such Candidate are expected to possess in addition 5 credit in ordinary level English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Candidate that has passed through any NUC recognized University and graduated with minimum of second class lower in any basic medical Sciences course like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology and any other related courses are to follow the D.E requirements for Nursing in Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE)
Physiology Requirements:
UTME Candidates Admission into FUOYE Physiology Department covers a minimum of four (4) Academic Sessions. The admission process shall either be via the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or the Pre-Degree Science Programme of the University,Federal University, Oye-Ekiti.
To be fit for admission, candidates must have at least (5) Credits in one or two sittings in the Senior Secondary School Certificate or any related certificate exam in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Radiography and radiation science requirements:
UTME Candidates should not that Radiography and Radiation Science in FUOYE is a 5years B.Sc course.
The UTME Subjects of interest is English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates are also required to posses five(5) Credit passes at not more than two exam sittings in WAEC, NECO and NABTEB in the Senior School Certificate (SSCE) or their equivalent recognized Certificate exams in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry.
