Student Financial Aid Awards 2022-2023
The University of Malaya is awarding this scholarship to candidates who wish to apply for a Post Graduate degree for the year. This scholarship is open to both domestic and international students who are undergoing a Master’s or Doctoral Programme.
Successful applicants receive an allowance that covers living expenses and are free to study any course of choice.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be solely independent, not sponsored by any organization or statutory body, and must be free from any outstanding fee or debt.
Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS) 2022
This scholarship is awarded by the Government of Malaysia, attracting academically excellent candidates to pursue a postgraduate degree in the country. It aims to brew and explore talents from around the world.
Applicants are encouraged to apply to public universities and selected private institutes for a postgraduate degree.
This scholarship is open to all nationalities who wish to undergo a Ph.D. level and Master’s level degree. This grants a living allowance of about RM 1,500 per month.
To be eligible, applicants must not be more than 40 and 45 years old for a Master’s and Ph.D. program respectively and must obtain a second class upper and a 3.5 CGPA at the masters and Ph.D. level.
Monash internationals Merit Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students based on their academic performance, opening 31 spots every year for applicants who are interested in studying in Malaysia. Fresh or already enrolled students are eligible for this Scholarship as an allowance of $10,000 is given to cover tuition and accommodation which is valid until the final year of your degree. To benefit from this, students are encouraged to maintain an academic performance of 70% every semester and participate in promotional activities.
Malaysia Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan
For applicants who wish to continue their postgraduate studies in Malaysia, this Scholarship program is initiated by the Government to help students from member states of the commonwealth. The award is given according to the course of study. E.g The master’s degree award runs for a year or two while Ph.D. programs run for three years.
This scholarship runs full time and is open to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of a GPA of 3.5 and the age limit of 45 at the time of application.
International Graduate Students Scholarship
This scholarship is openly awarded to students with a financial crisis. Through the IGSS, Malaysia offers financial assistance to students from Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, covering about a third of the tuition fee for the first six semesters of the student’s academic duration.
