6 FUOYE STUDENTS BAG UNESCO SCHOLARSHIP…
At the Nigerian National Merit Award Secretariat, Abuja, on April 1st 2022, Six students of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti were awarded scholarships by the UNESCO International Centre for Biotechnology.
Our team came to know this, following a post made by a Facebook community known as “I LOVE EKITI”.
The brand, UNESCO International Centre for Biotechnology is an arm of the United Nations and in its bid to promote scientific discovery among university students across the world, it called for scholarship applications from eligible students last year.
Nonetheless, this scholarship opportunity was opened to Bachelor of Science (BSc), Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) holders all over the world and twelve FUOYE students all from the department of Biochemistry registered for the opportunity around the 4th of November, 2021.
The students include Oluwaseun Aletile, David Oyerinde, Bunkumi Odukoya, Oluwaseun Ajayi, Eniola Alabi and Temidayo Olofinlade are all 400 level students of the Department of Biochemistry.
