Wyoming is a state located in the western part of the United States of America. It is the least populated and 10th largest state by area in the United States. This state is home to national parks and fossils. It is also the first state to let women vote and the first to elect a female president. The official sport of this state is rodeo.

Wyoming is home to famous actors, authors, artists, and politicians like Harrison Ford, Matthew Fox, Glenn Close, Wilford Brimley, Dana Perino, Dick Cheney, Annie Proulx, and Jackson Pollock among others.

  • Casper College

Casper College is a public community college established in 1945 in Casper Wyoming. It is one of the most comprehensive and biggest colleges in the region.

This college offers over 48 academic majors and 28 technical and career field options. Its academic side is divided into five colleges Fine Arts and Humanities, Health Science, namely Business and Industry, Science, Social and Behavioral Science.

Casper College right now has 28 buildings on over 200 acres. It also has about 250 faculty, and at the south end of the campus is located the Tate Geological Museum.

Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Rodeo, Volleyball, Men’s Soccer, and Women’s Soccer are sports that Casper College participates in for the National Junior College Athletic Association.

  • Central Wyoming College

Central Wyoming College was established in 1966 and is located in Riverton, Wyoming, United States. This public community college is well known for its associated degree nursing program plus it owns Wyoming PBS which is the only public television network in Wyoming. It also owns KCWC-FM a student-operated FM radio station.

Central Wyoming College also known as CWC or CW provide online classes and has outreach centers located in Dubois, Lander, Jackson, and Wind River Indian Reservation.

Eastern Wyoming College was established in 1948 and is located in Goshen County, Wyoming. This college has over 1900 students in credit courses and more than 5000 students in non-credit activities. It also sponsors outreach programs in Crook, Platte, Converse, Niobrara, and Weston counties.

  • Gillette College

Gillette College is a two-year community college located in Gillette, Wyoming. This college is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in men’s and women’s basketball, rodeo, and soccer in Region IX. The rodeo team of Gillette College is a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

Gillette College is controlled by the Northern Wyoming Community College District. It offers certificate and applied science programs that ready students for proficient trades such as industrial electricity and welding as well as Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees.

This college has a nursing program that started in January of 1983 and only accepts 15 students yearly. Graduates of this program become licensed practical nurses (LPN). This nursing program has expanded to accepting 32 students yearly and training registered nurses (RN).

Laramie County Community College also known as LCCC is a public community college located in Laramie County, Wyoming. This college offers over 70 associate degrees and more than 25 certificates of completion, as well as many non-credit classes.
LCCC was founded in 1968 and has campuses in Laramie and Cheyenne and outreach centers in Pine Bluffs and F.E. Warren Air Force Base.

Northwest College was established in 1946 and is located in Powell, Wyoming. This public community college was formerly called “The University of Wyoming Northwest Center.

Sheridan College is a public community college that was established in 1948. It is located in Sheridan, Wyoming. This college has program tracks that prepare its students for a four-year college or university.

This public community college offers certificate programs, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science degrees, and Associate of Arts. It also allows students to enroll in vocational/technical programs, professional development courses, or career training if they wish.

Sheridan College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in rodeo, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s basketball in Region IX. Its rodeo team is a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

Western Wyoming Community College is a public community college established in 1959. It is located in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
This community college also known as Western offers associate degrees, and certificates, and, in affiliation with the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming, it offers a bachelor’s degree.

The students that attend Western Wyoming Community College are called Mustangs. This college has a free museum, art gallery, and other displays that are open to guests. Fossils, rock slabs, and five life-sized dinosaurs are among some of the natural history displayed around the campus.

The University of Wyoming is one of the best universities in Wyoming. It was established in March 1886 and opened in September 1887. This public land-grant research university is located in Laramie, Wyoming.

The University of Wyoming is made up of seven colleges which are arts and sciences, business, agriculture and natural resources, education, health sciences, engineering and applied sciences, and law. Wyoming Catholic College is a private, Catholic liberal arts college that was established in July of 2005. It is located in Lander, Wyoming.

This college is the only private four-year institution of higher education in Wyoming. In 2007, it admitted its first class. It was also accorded Institutional Pre-accreditation status by the American Academy for Liberal Education (AALE) in the year 2007. In November of 2018, it received the final accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission.

Wyoming Catholic College awards its graduating students the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts. It has no minors, majors graduate programs, or specialized degrees.

  • Wyoming Catholic College WyoTech

Wyoming Catholic College ( WyoTech), formerly known as Wyoming Technical Institute was established in 1996 and is a for-profit technical college located in Laramie, Wyoming.

This automotive-themed school that offers programs in automotive repair provides essential training programs that groom students for employment as technicians in the diesel and automotive industry.
