The University of Calgary is pleased to offer a four-year entrance scholarship to all international students who meet admission requirements, totaling up to $20,000 for the 2022-2026 cycle.

The University of Calgary offers the International Application group a scholarship program that provides tuition, fees and residence costs coverage (CUS) for incoming international students and their families. This scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees, CUS administration costs, as well as up to 12 months of room and board.

The University of Calgary International Scholarship also includes a $3,000 annual book allowance per unit. Evaluation takes place in the fall of each year in conjunction with the submission of an application for admission to the university that year especially with the University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship cureently ongoing.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship

To be eligible, students must;

  • be enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year university,
  • have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on the Canadian Academic Rating Scale,
  • confirm that they are planning to study in foreign countries such as China, India, the United Kingdom, and South Korea for either one year or two years.

University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship Now Ongoing /International 2022 Entrance Scholarship will award up to $10 000 CAD per semester for two years of studies towards undergraduate degrees. For example, if a student is admitted for both fall and winter semesters in 2022 with a GPA of 3.3 this would equate to up to $20 000 CAD total scholarship given by the University of Calgary International 2022 Entrance Scholarship Until September 2023.

  • A copy of your official transcript (it must be sent directly from the institution).
  • A copy of your most recently completed Canadian secondary school graduating certificate, issued within 12 months of the application deadline.
  • An official English translation of any other academic documents that have not been issued in English by an institution in Canada.
  • Waiver form signed by a parent or guardian, if under 18 years old.

  • Find your GPA, which is available on the website, it can also be found on your transcript
  • Fill out an application form (it’s an Adobe pdf) that can be found in the Gateway to Future Scholarships tab on the University of Calgary website
  • Provide a typed cover letter; this should include any important details about yourself and why you are applying for the scholarship.
  • Give a list of one to three references; please note that these are not required but will help us determine if you would make a good candidate for the scholarship.
  • Attach copies of all transcripts and grades from undergraduate studies, including MGPA (minimum grade point average).

The University of Calgary International 2022 Entrance Scholarship was created by the IEC and is administered by Scholarships and Student Aid. Currently, the University of Calgary International 2022 Entrance Scholarship is open to incoming international undergraduate students in all faculties at the U of C. This scholarship will be offered in September 202022, with the first semester starting in January 2023

University of Calgary International 2022 Entrance Scholarship awards are renewable, assuming that conditions outlined below are met. Renewal will include an assessment based on grades received during a student’s first year at the University of Calgary.

Students that continue to meet award renewal criteria will be eligible for award renewal as determined by Scholarships and Student Aid based on recommendations from academic departments.
