The [University of Oslo -Norwegian Universitetet i Oslo], this [Latin Universitas Osloensis] is a public exploration university located in Oslo, Norway. This is the oldest university in Norway and the Academic Ranking of World Universities ranked it the 58th best institution in the world and the third best in the Nordic countries. In the year [2016], the [Times Higher Education World University Rankings] listed the university at [63rd], making it the loftiest ranked Norwegian university.

In the year [1811], a decision was made to establish the first university in the Dano- Norwegian Union, after an agreement was reached with [King Frederik VI], who had before believed that such an institution might encourage political separatist tendencies. But in the year [1813], The [Royal Frederik’s University] was founded in Christiania [later renamed Oslo], a small megacity at that time.
