Conclusion

The University of Saskatchewan International Excellence Awards has yet to make a substantial impact on the university’s international recognition. For this reason, it is unsurprising that the awards were discontinued. It is difficult to measure their success because there were no achievements for which nominees were eligible to win a prize and there was no project evaluation that led to more opportunities for more incredible successes in internationalization at the university. The awards have been consistently given out since 2009 and they are still being awarded today, with over 60 nominations this year.
