The University offers scholarships for international and Dutch students who wish to study at their institution. Through these scholarships, the University hopes to attract more talented international and Dutch students

to come to study at their institution and therefore strengthen its position among other leading European universities for education, research, and innovation.

The University of Twente offers three different scholarships:

1. University of Twente International Scholarships:

For students who have completed at least one year of study at an accredited foreign university or equivalent with a relevant English language qualification. A minimum level of 2.1 (B) in their final degree examination or equivalent is required if English is the second language being studied. Students who have obtained a degree from an accredited (foreign) university may apply for either one of the three categories listed below, they will be selected as appropriate to their circumstances upon receipt of all required documentation by the University of Twente.

2. University of Twente Dutch Scholarships:

For students who have completed at least one year of study at an accredited Dutch university or equivalent with a relevant English language qualification. A minimum level of 2.1 (B) in their final degree examination or equivalent is required if English is the second language being studied. Students who have obtained a degree from an accredited (Dutch) university may apply for either one of the three categories listed below, they will be selected as appropriate to their circumstances upon receipt of all required documentation by the University of Twente.

3. University of Twente Graduate Scholarships:

 For students who have completed at least one year of study at an accredited university with a relevant English language qualification. A minimum level of 2.1 (B) in their final degree examination or equivalent is required if English is the second language being studied. Students who have obtained a degree from an accredited (Dutch or international) university may apply for either one of the three categories listed below, they will be selected as appropriate to their circumstances upon receipt of all required documentation by the University of Twente.

The scholarship covers tuition fees and living costs. The scholarship is awarded to international students who have been offered a place in the Bachelor’s program Cyber Security Engineering at the University of Twente.

There are limited scholarships for this degree program and priority will be given to candidates from developing countries.

Students with an excellent track record can also be considered for a partial scholarship covering tuition fees only if they cannot obtain sufficient funding from other sources or authorities. These partial scholarships are funded by one of the partner universities in our Executive Master Systems Science (EMS). The scholarship covers tuition fees and living costs.
