Scholarships in this category are granted when the income is enough to support the individual.
Solidarity Fund Foundation for Foreign Students in Zurich
The scholarship amount given to international students is CHF 750 per month. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must;
- Prove dependence on financial support
- Regularly enrolled at UZH
- Studies at least one semester
- Have proof of successful course of study
- Achieved 55 credit points after the first two semesters

The UBS Center Scholarships offer Ph.D. scholarships to graduates who want to earn a postgraduate degree in Zurich. Intended to aid international students that cannot fund their education, the scholarship is given to the students by cash or bank transfer to more than 5,000 students.
Postgraduate Scholarships at the University of Zurich
Government Excellence Scholarships
The scholarship amount is a monthly stipend of CHF 1,920 with the exemptions of tuition fees, covering health insurance, travel costs, and airfare and housing allowance of about CHF 300 offered for Masters and Ph.D. degree seekers.
Anchored and made available by the Swiss confederation at the University of Zurich to encourage both domestic and international studies. These scholarships are split into two; research and Art scholarships for those intending to pursue a master’s degree.
Forschunskredit Candoc Scholarship
The scholarship amount for this cost about CHF 50,000 to CHF 100,000 for students who have enrolled in the school and gotten confirmation from a UZH Ph.D. supervisor to study.
Funded by Firschungskredit for students at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels, it is also intended for researchers, whose work shows great promise, encouraging them to pursue their research.

BRIDGE of Proof of Concept
A joint program by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Swiss innovation Agency supports students who carry out research through their funding with a scholarship amount of about CHF 130,000 per year.
The scholarship covers salary and project for twelve months and can be extended for six months.
Grants are also given to students who cannot afford to fund their fees or education. However, there are criteria for the application of these grants.
These criteria are;
Students who have gained research experience as part of a bachelor’s or master’s degree are open to such grants
Students who are about to complete their Ph.D. within the next six months
Students who have owned a Ph.D. within the last four years
Submit who have submitted their application as an individual and not as a group.
